How do you think the dwarves and Bilbo feel when they are surrounded and are threatened for there lives if they leave? Why do you think that? What effects do you think it will have on the dwarves? Explain why. What effects do you think it will have on Bilbo? Explain why.
I'm sure they feel frightened and overwhelmed when they are surrounded. They have always seemed to overcome everything. The dwarves and Bilbo will probably rely more on one another the more fights they overcome. Bonds are tightly formed during crisis and danger. The dwarves will rely more on Bilbo and recognize him as one of their own, as a brother and friend. Bilbo will be a new hobbit, and feel the same way the dwarves will about him.
