1.Why do you think Gollum loves the ring so much?
2.Why does Gollum think that Bilbo doesn't know what the ring does?
3.Why do you think the ring went back into his pocket when he ran into the goblins?
1.) Because Gollum used the ring to get food and it was the only thing he really had living in the caves. 2.) Gollum had no idea he even lost the ring or that Bilbo had it. 3.) Pure luck, or maybe because the ring was meant to be with Bilbo.
1) Because Gollum found the ring and had it for many years and it was his only way to be safe if the goblins came to his home in the cave. 2) Gollum thinks that because he never told him what the ring does. 3) I think that the ring slipped back into Bilbo's pocket because he was startled and it fell off of his hand and into his pocket.
